COFA is a faculty of the University of New South Wales (UNSW), a founding member of the Group of Eight (Go8) research intensive universities in Australia. COFA at UNSW strives to ensure that each student maximizes this insight and challenges him or herself to reach their highest potential as an artist, designer or theorist.

At COFA, academic members of staff represent Australia’s most eminent artists, designers and theorists. They have won national and international awards and critical acclaim for their contributions to the fields of fine art, interactive and web based medias, design and art theory as well as winning a record number of large research grants through the University of New South Wales, supported by the Federal government.
